Rocky Mountain Values to Advocate for Fair Taxes at Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival with “Spice Things Up. Tax the Rich” Candy

Rocky Mountain Values invites festival-goers to stop by and learn more about the inequities caused by the 2017 GOP Tax Law.

The law gave massive tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%, while most Coloradans saw little benefit. RMV will share information about why it's time to change the tax system to support working families and critical public services like healthcare, education, and infrastructure.

Who: Rocky Mountain Values team

What: RMV will be handing out chile-flavored candy with the message “Spice Things Up. Tax the Rich” to raise awareness about the need for fair tax policies in Colorado. The initiative highlights how the 2017 GOP Tax Law has negatively impacted hardworking Coloradans by favoring corporations and the wealthy, leaving local families and small businesses behind.

Where: Main Entrance to the Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival, Pueblo, Colorado

When: 3:00 pm on September 21, 2024
